I’m taking some time off, isn’t that a funny saying? Time off of what? How does someone go about that exactly? Will a hammer and chisel do the trick, or would a pair of scissors or hedge trimmers work better? We all know time cannot be adjusted with a tool or taken off anything. We can, however, adjust the way we spend our time, and that’s what’s going on today. I made an adjustment to how and where I usually spend my Sunday mornings.
Phyllis, Olivia and I are in Hot Springs visiting my family today. That means I will not be dissecting this “taking time off” phrase any further, but you are free to take it as far as you would like. We will miss our Golden Meadows Church family, but we will not be “taking time off” from worshipping with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Be assured, I will be in the middle of a congregation somewhere singing off key and loving every minute of it, even if the person in front of me doesn’t.
Now all of you listen to Brother Robert as he brings the message this morning. God has some important words for you. I will see everyone next week.
